Richfield Planning Commission Approves, Discusses Bylaws
Richfield's Planning Commission approved its bylaws and appointed commission members to officer and liaison positions Monday night.

The Richfield Planning Commission approved its bylaws Monday night with an amendment regarding voting procedures within the commission. The new amendment states that as long as quorum is met, only a simple majority is needed to pass an item.
Commissioner Bob Hall made sure to clarify certain points in the bylaws in order to ensure public hearings were always open unless the commission voted to have a closed hearing, among other things. All were passed.
In addition, Commissioner made a motion for all officer terms to have limit of three consecutive years. He said it was good for the commission to have rotation in the officer positions. However, after much discussion, the motion failed to pass in the end.
