Richfield Police to Host 'Home Alone Safety'
This class will help 9 to 12 year-olds get ready to be home unattended. Kids will make their own first-aid kits and learn basic first-aid.
There are spots left for Richfield police's "Home Along Safety" course taking place on Fri., Jan. 27. The session is from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the Central School, RM. 103 (7145 Harriet).
This class will help 9 to 12 year-olds get ready to be home unattended. Kids will make their own first-aid kits and learn basic first-aid techniques.
Police will discuss personal and home safety, internet safety, phone skills, fire safety, escape plans, what to do in severe weather, snack ideas, a K-9 visit, dodgeball and more, according to a news release.

The fee is $18 and includes lunch and snacks. Parents can register their kids by calling 612-861-9385 or stopping by the Community Center (7000 Nicollet). Online registration is not available.
