Richfield Police: Slow Down Near Construction Zones

"We all know there are two seasons in Minnesota: winter and construction."

The Richfield police want to remind residents to slow down near construction zones and on detour routes.

Drivers face many distractions under the best of conditions, and driving through construction work zones only amplifies distractions with lane changes and other unexpected variations, police say.

As Richfield is undergoing major road construction projects throughout the next year, police are asking all motorists to exercise caution and patience.

When detoured, police ask residents to drive slowly down residential streets.
