Shake Shack To Open Location In Southwest Metro

The 5,108 square-foot Shack will feature an outdoor covered patio with games and seating for customers.

HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — The popular burger stand known as Shake Shack is getting ready to open the doors of its second Minnesota location on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. "The Shack" will be situated in Southdale Center (6630 France Ave S) at the corner of West 66th street.

This location joins the Mall of America Shack, which opened in 2016. In addition to its classics, the Southdale Shack will be spinning up a unique selection of frozen custard concretes, including:

  • Pie Oh My: Vanilla custard with a slice of Cafe Latte seasonal pie
  • Choc of the Town: Chocolate custard, fudge sauce, Mast Brothers dark chocolate chunks and banana
  • Hopscotch: Vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, Mast Brothers dark chocolate chunks and chocolate toffee

Customers can wash their burgers down with local brews from Summit Brewing Company, Lift Brewery, Badger Hill Brewery,Grain Belt, and Brau Brothers Brewing Co., according to a news release.

The Southdale Shack will donate all proceeds from its opening to Autism Society of Minnesota, a nonprofit focused on education, advocacy, and support to enhance the lives of those with autism.

Guests who show up in costume on opening day will receive a pumpkin frozen custard.
