Sponsor a Richfield Family for Heroes and Helpers
Richfield Police Department's Heroes and Helpers began in 2009 (formerly Shop with a Cop) and has so far helped 60 families in the city.

Richfield Police Department's Heroes and Helpers began in 2009 (formerly known as Shop with a Cop) and has so far helped 60 families in the city. The children of the families are paired with an officer who will be their shopping partner. They then go to the Richfield Super Target where, with support from the officer, and buy gifts for their parents, siblings, family member and an item for themselves, according to a news release.
After shopping, everyone returns to the police station for a pizza dinner and wraps presents with the support of community volunteers. It’s a wonderful opportunity for relationship building between Richfield residents and police officers.
Officers want to support at least the same number of families that we did last year, 15. A donation of $150 will sponsor an entire family. If you're interested in donating any amount, contact Community Liaison Isela Gomez at (612) 861-9840.
