Stalking, Smashed Car Windows & Counterfeit Cash: Police Blotter
The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's crime reports from April 8, 2013, detailing incidents from April 4-7.
April 4
- An 18-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for possession of stolen property after police stopping him in a stolen vehicle.
- A vehicle was reported stolen from the 6600 block of 4th Avenue.
- Police took a report of fraudulent activity on a victim's checking account.
- Police received information from HCMC regarding a possible domestic assault where an older brother was assaulting a younger brother. The younger brother denies any abuse.
- A victim reported that his car had been keyed while parked in a ramp on the 6600 block of Lyndale Avenue.
- Police responded to a report of a criminal sexual misconduct incident that had occurred at a daycare.
- Police responded to a report of a stalking situation. The victim stated her ex-boyfriend has been following her for the past several weeks. She requested information on a restraining order.
- BP gas station on the 6600 block of Penn Avenue reported a gas theft of $45.73.
- An adult female was observed shoplifting a can of beer from Super America, 826 W. 66th St. She was located in the parking lot in possession of the shoplifted item and issued a citation.
April 5

- A business on the 1800 block of 66th Street East reported that two customers paid for food with a counterfeit $20 bill. The suspects were not identified at the time of using the fake cash.
- A victim reported that his wallet was stolen while he was at Rainbow Foods. The approximate loss was $50.
- Police responded to a report of a male suspect attempting to cash a fraudulent check at Wells Fargo. Officers were unable to locate the suspect at this time.
- Police took a delayed report of a protection order violation.
- Three suspects were arrested after narcotics were found during a police investigation of a physical domestic.
April 6
- A 28-year-old Richfield man was arrested for fourth-degree DUI.
- Police responded to a disturbance on the 7400 block of Lyndale Avenue. Upon arrival, officers could hear parties inside arguing and it appeared that someone inside may have been in danger. Officers were refused admittance after numerous attempt to get occupants to come to the door. Officers forced entry and located two people inside who later cited.
- Officers responded to a theft report on the 600 block of 66th Street East. Items valued at $600 each were taken from a tow truck. Total loss was $1,200.
April 7

- After receiving a report of a disturbance on the 6600 block of 14th Avenue, police located a party that was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for DUI.
- Police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 7200 block of Penn Avenue. An unknown person smashed in the passenger window and took a case containing gift certificates.
