Richfield has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state of Minnesota.  According to numbers released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Richfield's unemployment rate has dropped from 3.5 percent to 3.3 percent in the span of one month.   Out of a labor force of 20,529 people, 19,845 residents are currently employed.  Nearby Bloomington has a slightly higher unemployment rate of 3.5 percent.   The overall Minnesota unemployment rate rose 0.1 percent in July to a seasonally adjusted 3.9 percent.  The U.S. unemployment rate was 4.9 percent in July.  Image via Shutterstock
