Wish Trip to Hawaii Comes True For Richfield Teen Through Make-A-Wish and United Health Foundation

Timecha, 17, of Richfield, lives with Leukemia.  When presented with an opportunity for a wish, she chose to visit Hawaii.  Timecha’s wish came true courtesy of United Health Foundation and Make-A-Wish.   United Health Foundation sponsored her wish through  national alliance with Make-A-Wish to support the organization and its mission of granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

According to Timecha’s wish granters, she chose to visit Hawaii because it looked like a beautiful place, and she wanted to enjoy relaxing in the sun with her family.  She travelled with her father, Tommie, and sister, Savannah.  In her free time, Timecha loves to draw, paint, read and write.

Since 2007, UnitedHealth Group has funded more than 2,136 wishes through a $7.5 million alliance with Make-A-Wish.
