In case you were wondering.....YES both the Wednesday and the Saturday Farmers Markets are OPEN this week! So come on 7/3 and 7/6 to grab some local goodies for your 4th of July picnics, parties, get together, etc!
Wednesday Farmers Market = 6400 Lyndale Ave (near Lyndale Gardens greenhouses) 2-7pm.
Saturdat Farmers Market = 64th Street and Portland Ave S (in the large picnic pavillion of Veterans Memorial Park) 7am-12pm.
Whats in season at the Markets? (as of 7/1/2013)
At our Wednesday Market = red potatoes, rhubarb, green onions, kohlrabi, bok choy, spinach, radishes, strawberries, cucumbers, zucchinis, fresh cut herbs, and yes, even tomatoes are starting to show up!
And at our Saturday Market = strawberries, snap peas, lettuce (both loose leaf and heads of lettuce), fresh cut herbs, kohlrabi, kale, red potatoes, green onions, asparagus, rhubarb, radishes, and collards.
Come stop by the markets and check out the local produce!
