Nelson shares free insurance help event for Rochester area residents (mnsenaterepublicans.com) — If storms damaged your Rochester‑area home or vehicle, you can get free, in‑person insurance help on September 25 at the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Training Center. Staff from the state Commerce Department and insurers will answer questions about claims, coverage, delays, and future preparedness, and residents are encouraged to bring their policy documents for more specific guidance.
2. City of Rochester Encourages Residents to Pledge to a Week Without Driving (krocnews.com) — Rochester residents are being asked to pledge to a Week Without Driving from October 1–8, trading car trips for walking, biking, transit, or ridesharing. Rochester Man Charged After Minivan Hits Bedroom Wall (wjon.com) — A Rochester man has been charged after allegedly driving a minivan while impaired and crashing into a southeast Rochester home, injuring two people who were sleeping in a lofted bed.
