• DNR Report: Waterfowl opener a mixed bag (grandforksherald.com) — A Roseau-based conservation officer spent the week checking anglers on Lake of the Woods and duck hunters at Nereson Impoundment and nearby wetlands, reporting fair success on the waterfowl opener. Across northwest Minnesota, officers saw mixed hunting results but wrote citations for issues like too many fishing lines, unplugged shotguns, missing licenses, and unsafe or illegal ATV and boating practices.
