• Rosemount Police Investigating Death of 23-Year-Old in Rosemount (limitless-news.com) — Rosemount police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old University of Minnesota student who left his Rosemount home to play indoor soccer and was later found in a wooded area near the Meta data center. While police say they don't suspect foul play, his grieving family is urging a thorough investigation and asking the Rosemount community for donations, prayers, and help sharing his story.
   

• As feds move to regulate AI, Minnesota already has laws in effect (twincities.com) — Rosemount's Meta hyperscale data center is directly affected by Minnesota's new law requiring large facilities to pay for their own power upgrades, rather than shifting costs to residents. Local and state leaders are also weighing broader concerns about heat, water, noise, and AI safety, as federal lawmakers debate how much national regulation is needed on data centers and artificial intelligence.
   

• Minnesota high school boys soccer top-10 rankings: Week 5 (startribune.com) — Rosemount boys soccer has broken into the statewide Class 3A top-10 rankings, joining Coon Rapids among the newest teams on the list. Duluth East and Eden Prairie now share the No. 1 spot, while traditional powers like Wayzata and Edina slipped slightly, giving Rosemount fans extra reason to watch how their team finishes the season.
