A Good Decision for Pour Decisions: Roseville Council Approves Taproom License
When the Roseville brewery opens next month, beer will be flowing in the taproom.

The Roseville Council voted unanimously at its Monday meeting to create a so-called βtaproomβ liquor license that will allow Pour Decisions Brewery to sell pints and growlers from their 1744 Terrace Drive location.
The new on-sale category will exempt the brewery from a food sale requirement and allow it to sell beer from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
There was some initial resistance among council members to allowing the sale of beer early in the morning.
βIβm not sure that somebody who goes to taste beer at 8 oβclock in the morning is necessarily a craft beer taster,β Council Member Tammy McGehee said with a laugh.
βI would say most likely they are a craft beer taster,β Mayor Dan Roe countered.
More than five Roseville residents spoke in favor of the taproom license in a public session before the councilβs vote.
Patrick Schmidt, a Roseville resident and craft beer afficionado who claimed to have drunk 3,100 beers in the past ten years, said he has researched post-Prohibition alcohol regulation in his day job as a political science professor at Macalester College.
βAll the exciting things in beer happen either overseas or in Portland or San Diego,β he said. βItβs nice to see that this is going forward.β
Kristen England, Pour Decisionsβ co-founder, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
βItβs basically an opportunity for us to increase our business and make beers that we wouldnβt be able to put in big production,β England said.
The brewery is expected to open in about a month.
