"The Perfect Albums Idea"

Having been into music literally all my life, since about 9 months old I was haveing a conversation with a coworker about the Song "The Sun Goes Down" from Thin Lizzy, I said "It's from a perfect album" he inquired "What does that mean?" I answered a while ago I came up with the idea of the "Perfect Album" , an album you can listen to from start to finish without skipping over any tracks.
In the film "High Fidelity" (Mar 2000) Rob Gordon is constantly referring to his "Top 5" of all time, your personal favorites, a list of every kind. And many years ago my friend Andrew referred to it as "Desert Island Picks" the 10 titles you could listen to the rest of your life.
As my former Dr. R. (she has since passed away) used to say she would only buy "Greatest Hits" or "Best Of" as formal album releases "contained a lot of "Filler" songs that she didn't want to hear" I argued "That is up to the individual and their personal preference, what you think is filler may be another's favorite song of all time"
Which loosely bleeds over to my thoughts on "Greatest Hits" albums which should Only Contain songs that were actual BillBoard Charting Hits and Single releases vs. "Best Of" Albums that could contain fan favorites or "Live Albums" containing all the hits however many "Live" albums contain the performing artists favorite cover songs that they loved and first learned and they played live in their concerts. One example Deep Purple played "Lucille" (Little Richard) as an encore, Heart played "Rock N Roll" (Led Zeppelin) as their encoreeven KISS played "Won't Get Fooled Again" (The Who) as their encore. And then there is the idea I came up with in 1988 the "Singles" album containing only the A and B Sides of the 45 SIngles the artist released, in order, in 2001 I brought this idea to the WB and Universal Record companies for 4th quarter releases to help slumping CD sales, while they passed at the time I have seen they have released several CDs with this theme example The Monkees "The Singles" Jan 2026.
I think it's worth mentioning in the 50s into the early 60s, an Artist would release singles, and after you had about 3 hit singles the record label would "Green Light" an "LP" or full length album for that artist, thus the importance of "BillBoard Charting Hits".
Ironically in my 186 Articles I have written starting in April 2011 I have never once written about a comic book, some films yes, however usually about 80% of my articles are about Music, where on earth did someone come up with the idea I like comics or Mr. Zer0's is a comic book store, I will never know ....

*I feel I should acknowledge In Jan 2026 I contracted a disease "Labyrinthitis" which developed in Meniere's Disease and Tinnitus which has cost me a 75% Hearing loss, 100% in my left ear and 50% in my right ear. Classified as a catastrophic hearing loss. This is one of the worst things that could have happened to me personally, I can no longer enjoy music the way I used to, it is very hard to have conversations, and the "White Noise" in my left ear is driving me insane.
