A mailing went out this weekend with scathing untruths about Jason Etten, who is running for City Council. It sure would be nice for the cowardly persons behind this mailing to come forward and identify themselves and tell us where they got their information. The only piece of truth in the mailing is that Jason was a community VOLUNTEER as chair of the Parks and Rec Commission. His leadership made RECOMMENDATIONS to the Council.
Where did the "People for a Voice" come up with Jason establishing a Parks Board? As a commission, we have been charged by Council to explore what a Board might look like. Where did they come up with Jason adding a local sales tax? Where did they come up with figures above what the Council has already approved for our Parks??
Countless time and effort over a couple of years by hundreds of Roseville citizens went into the Master Plan that was presented to Council for approval; Council unanimously approved it. It is doubtful that those that posted this cruel mailing were involved in the process, one in which ALL residents of Roseville were encouraged to be a part of.

Please use common sense when you ask yourself if one volunteer chair could possibly have the power to create such havoc as this mailing asserts. Do not let a few angry Roseville citizens have the right to put out a slanderous mailing and have it work.
Jason Etten is a terrific asset to Roseville and he has worked very hard to make it a community to be proud of. Those of us who have come to know him through his involvement and committment to ALL of Roseville will do our best to encourage citizens to elect him to the Council next week.
