What Do You Do to Maintain Grinder Mill

Raymond Mill is applicable to the grinding and processing of more than 280 kinds of non-flammable and non-explosive materials with hardness less than 7 and humidity less than 6% in mining, construction, chemical industry and metallurgy, such as barite, calcite, feldspar, talcum, marble, limestone, clay, glass. The fineness of the finished product can be adjusted from 100 mesh to 325 mesh according to requirements.

The Raymond mill uses rotating weights that spin from a central fixture inside a circular drum. Centripetal force pushes these weights towards the sides of the drum where they crush and roll the rock against the outer wall. This mill uses several motors; the two most important ones are the 200 HP motor that spins the weights and the 200 HP motor operating the blower that helps suspend the rock in the mill during processing.

Because the mill could not operate at variable speed, the primary means for adjusting the amount of air blowing into the mill was a manually operated damper system. The main motor spinning the weights simply ran at full speed. If an operator did not begin feeding the raw material into the mill quickly after startup, the weights hit the outer walls of the drum, which was very noisy and caused excess wear. Conversely, if an operator dumped too much raw material into the mill, the weights became bogged down and it was necessary to empty the mill by hand, which was a long and dirty process.

After the materials enter the grinding chamber of the main frame, the grinding roller swings outward and presses closely upon the grinding ring due to the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the main shaft. The blade carries materials to the space between the grinding roller and grinding ring, and materials are ground as the grinding roller rolls.

After being ground, the powder is selected by classifier via the cycle wind of the blower and the rough powder will be back to the grinding chamber for regrinding. The qualified powder is brought into the powder collector together with airflow. The powder comes out as end products while the airflow goes back to the powder collector in cycling to make the machine work normally. The remained airflow comes out after purification by dust filter. Then, what do you do to maintain raymond?

1. When using the powder mill, the staff should be equipped with a fixed guard by a certain level of technology operations personnel to operate. In order to enable operators to understand the

4.The powder mill's roller should be replaced after 500-hours use. To check and wash bearings of powder mill in them and replace its broken ones, and then fill enough oil and grease (with oil-pump or grease-gun).

5. To ensure normal operation of the equipment---raymond powder mill or any other powder mill,, a manual containing strict rules and procedures for the powder mill's operation, maintenance and repair should be well prepared and followed. Tools, replacement parts for maintaining, repairing and lubricating oil and grease must be available for immediate use.
