Five Reasons to Take The Roseville Senior Activities Survey

Five reasons that seniors should take the Senior Activities Survey.

  1. You are a senior whose current needs are unmet
in your community for particular senior services or programs.
E.g., respite care, different housing options,

block nurse programs, public transportation, etc.

  1. You are a senior who anticipates needs for
particular senior services or programs that are not currently available to you
    in your community.
E.g. supportive services for aging-in-place, respite

care, block nurse programs, public transportation, etc.

    1. You are a senior caregiver who wants and needs
      supportive services for caregivers.
E.g., respite care, adult daycare, assistance

      caring for grandchildren, etc.

      1. You are a boomer or mature senior who wants more
and/or different activities than are currently available in the RASP… (http://www.isd623.org/commed/senior/ ).
      2. You are a boomer or mature senior who wants a broader range of affordable physical activities available to you through the Roseville School District 623 Community Education Department.
      3. So, take 10 minutes of your time. It is in your own self-interest.

The Senior Activities Survey is a tool for taking a snapshot of the senior community. The snapshot will be more realistic, as more people participate in the
        survey.

The survey will be used as a planning tool and a supporting document for fundraising efforts.

This survey does not ask for any identifying information about you. The survey consists of a series of short questions. Most questions have spaces to check off your answers. Some questions require you to write in an answer.

Some questions will not apply to you. We hope that you will answer as many of the questions as possible, to help provide a more complete snapshot of seniors in the Roseville area.

The survey will be available between February and April 2012. The survey is available in an electronic version (link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PCG59DY ), and a hard copy.

Friendly NSSC (North Senior Suburban Council) volunteers will have hard copies of the survey at a table outside the solarium at the 16th Annual "Living Smarter" Home and Garden Fair. The Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Feb 18 at the Fairview Community Center. (link to fair http://www.livingsmarter.org/fair.html ) You can complete the survey at the Fair.

Hard copies of the survey will also be brought to groups of Roseville area seniors by volunteers from the NSSC. If you have a group that would be willing to complete the survey, we will be happy to provide hard copies or a link to you. Request the survey by sending an email with the details of your request to SeniorActivitiesSurvey@yahoo.com .

Completed hard copies may be returned to the Senior Activity Survey drop box in the senior activities lounge of the Fairview  Community Center or the Parks and Rec desk at City Hall, or mailed to us at North Suburban Senior Council 1910 County Road B West, Roseville, MN 55113.

We live in tough economic and political times,
but our needs do not diminish. We can accomplish changes, but we need the hard
work of dedicated individuals and everyone’s participation.

        Please take the survey.
