Concordia Academy Falls In Section Semifinals
A big third quarter by St. Anthony Village ends the Beacons' football season

The Concordia Academy football team’s season came to an end on Saturday with a 44-19 loss to St. Anthony village in the Section 4AAA semifinals.
The Beacons (6-4) trailed 14-13 at halftime, but St. Anthony used 20 third quarter points to take control.
Dan Hartman connected with Ryan Donahue for a 6-yard score in the second quarter, and after Christian Koehn scored from 5 yards out, CA had a 13-7 lead in the second quarter. But St. Anthony’s David Shadduck ran a 99 yard kickoff return back for a touchdown to give the Huskies the lead for good.

Hartman scored on a 7-yard run to make it 37-19 in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to mount a comeback.
St. Anthony Village will now face St. Croix Lutheran on Friday. The winner will go to the Class 3A state tournament.
