Concordia Academy Football Advances To Section Semis

The Concordia Academy football team advanced in the Section 4AAA quarterfinals on Tuesday with a 14-6 wiin over New Life Academy in Roseville.

The win sets up a matchup with St. Anthony Village in the section semifinals on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Beacons (6-3) are currently on a three-game winning streak that dates back to a 40-0 win over St. Agnes on Oct. 7. They have won four of their last five games since losing to St. Anthony Village 21-0 on Sept. 23.

The Huskies (7-2) are coming off a 37-0 win over St. Paul Como Park in the section quarterfinals. Both teams will be playing for a spot in the section finals, where they will play the winner of St. Croix Lutheran and Minnehaha Academy.
