Concordia Academy Looks To Rebound From 3-0 loss at Breck
Beacons host Blake in much-needed conference game.
The Concordia Academy Beacons boys soccer team will be looking hard for a win today (Tuesday) against Blake after a tight 1-0 contest on Thursday, Sept. 15, evaporated into a 3-0 loss at Breck.
Concordia lost in a shut-out to the Breck Broncos, which vaulted into a tie for third-place in the Tri-Metro Conference. The Beacons had stuck with the Broncos until the final four minutes of the second half when the Broncos padded their 1-0 lead with an additional goal. The Broncos added another goal late in the 3-0 win.
The struggling Beacons dropped to 1-4 in Tri-Metro play and will look to rebound against Blake. So far the Bears are 1-3 in the Tri-Metro this season. The Beacons have gone 2-5 so far with a number of close losses.
