
The Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MN-CCD) recently honored stateΒ Rep. Jason Isaacson, DFL-Shoreview, for his work in getting a new state budget approved that assists people with disabilities, their families and health care providers.
In a letter to Isaacson, the group thanked himΒ for his βadvocacy, dedication and hard workβ and βoutstanding leadership in the legislatureβ while noting the βmany positive outcomes this (past) session.β Rebecca Covington, Executive Director of MN-CCD, said,Β Β βIsaacson has been a strong ally and advocate for the disability community this (past) session."
Isaacson, a first-term legislator,Β is representative for District 42B, which includes that part of Roseville north of County Road C and east of Snelling Avenue.

In a news statement, Isaacson said, "Β Iβm honored to receive this award from MN-CCD. We passed a lot of important policies this year that will improve the lives of Minnesotans with disabilities, like a $40 million boost for Special Education, pay raise for long-term care workers, and increased access to affordable health care and housing.Β
"These are the kinds of compassionate policies that will move our state forward," Isaacson contended.Β
