RAHS Drama Presents "The Sound of Music"

Roseville Area High School will present the beloved classic, “The Sound of Music,” March 9– 11, at the high school’s Nielsen Performing Arts Center.

The show has been produced entirely by students, including the director, choreographer, music director and technical director.

“The Sound of Music,” a musical by Rodgers & Hammerstein, is based on the true story of Maria Von Trapp, a young woman who leaves her convent in Salzburg, Austria, to become governess for seven mischievous children of a retired naval captain. Maria’s sense of humor and adventure, along with her love of music, win the children over and eventually she and the widowed captain fall in love. The story plays out against the backdrop of the beginning of World War II.
