Time Bank Focus Group

A TimeBank is a community of people who help each other by sharing their abilities, talents and experiences. We all have needs and gifts to share. When you provide a service for another TimeBank member you can earn one TimeBank Hour for each hour you spend providing the service. You can then exchange each TimeBank Hour you earn for an hour of service from someone else.

As part of my Master's Thesis in Gerontology at Bethel University, I am holding a focus group to determine if there is interest in forming a time bank in Roseville.  The focus of my thesis is to determine if a time bank is a way to enable  seniors age in place, but the time bank would be open to everyone.

Time banks were recently featured in AARP Magazine.  You can see the article at http://www.aarp.org/money/budgeting-saving/info-02-2012/time-banking.html
