Quinn Hutson, a CNH architect, presented changes in plans his firm had made since the last presentation to the Council. Alterations were made to accommodate easier building access, and plans now call for enlarged conference room windows and an above-ground stormwater retention system.

Fire chief Tim O’Neill said the department had decided to not make the training room or fitness room in the new station open to the public.

β€œOur goal going in was to make the building as secure as possible to basically assure that the fire department had the space and availability of both the training room and the fitness room when firefighters needed access to those spaces,” he said.
