Football Friday: Brooklyn Center at Concordia Academy

LAST WEEK

Concordia Academy (2-2, 0-1 Tri-Metro East) got shut out by St. Anthony Village 21-0; Brooklyn Center (2-2, 1-0 Tri-Metro East) got back to .500 with a 19-6 win over St. Agnes.

PLAYMAKERS

-William Saydee (Brooklyn Center, running back)

Saydee had 99 yards rushing and a touchdown a week ago. He has had 90-plus yards every week and has 487 on the season.

-Marcus Taylor-Lloyd (Brooklyn Center, receiver)

Taylor-Lloyd had six receptions for 90 yards and a score against St. Agnes.

-Gavin Farley (Concordia Academy, linebacker)

Farley was a bright spot on defense for the Beacons last Friday, finishing with 14 tackles and a sack.

BEACONS WIN IF …

They can return to their high-scoring ways. Concordia Academy averaged 32 ppg. through three non-conference games, before getting blanked in their Tri-Metro East opener. And the Beacons can't afford to start the conference season 0-2.

CENTAURS WIN IF …

The Centaurs seemed to have figured things out defensively the last couple weeks, holding their opponents to 19 points after giving up 90 in their first two games. Another strong defensive effort would go a long way toward victory.
