Freeze Warning Extended for Ramsey County

The National Weather Service is warning that temperatures might fall below freezing overnight between Monday and Tuesday, putting some plants at risk.

The National Weather Service is warning that temperatures could fall below freezing overnight between Tuesday and now into Wednesday morning in the Twin Cities metro area, including Ramsey County.

Freezing temperatures are possible between 1 and 9 a.m. Tuesday morning as well as 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday , according to the weather service freeze warning.

The conditions could kill sensitive plants, the watch says.

“Tender, young vegetation will be most at risk,” it says, “although fruit trees may also suffer some impacts.”
