Roseville High Players Part of Historic U of M Women's Hockey Team
Lee Stecklein and Bethany Brausen, of Roseville, helped the Gophers to a second straight NCAA title and a 49-game winning streak.
Roseville Area High School graduates Lee Stecklein and Bethany Brausen finished of the 2012-13 college hockey season at the University of Minnesota with a bang as they helped the Gophers win a second straight NCAA title, capping off an unprecedented, undefeated season.
The team's 49-game winning streak extended past the 2012–13 record of 41-0, to include eight wins from the end of the 2011–12 season.

Meanwhile, here's what Stecklein had to say when she was a senior at Roseville High School and committed in November, 2011 to play for the Goher's women hockey team:
- Stecklein said she has always wanted to be a Gopher. "It was always my dream," said Stecklein, who comes from a family that has either attended or taught at the University of Minnesota. "I am just super excited."
