Hyperbolic Facebook Rant Earns Roseville Employee a Suspension

The employee at Northern Brewer, a Roseville-based brewing wholesaler, was at work today after he was deemed "not a threat" in an internal investigation.

An employee of the Roseville-based brewing wholesaler returned to work today after being suspended for an online rant Roseville Police labeled a β€œterroristic threat.”

According to a police report, in early July, Northern Brewer CEO Chris Farley was alarmed by a Facebook post made by an employee:

oh poop sauce. just when you thought things couldn't get worse. don't understand why people only care for themselves and only care that they are benefiting. I guess its going back to the mid evil times. kill everything that move and have no regrets. time to suit up the armor and grab the blade. look out when the blood stains starts flowing or just grab a glass and enjoy glory

Farley notified his human resource director, Autumn Amadou-Blegen, who interviewed the employee and said the workergave β€œseveral responses that are inconsistent,” according to a police report.

Amadou-Blegen requested a police report β€œin case something happens,” but later told police that after going through an employee evaluation, the man was deemed β€œnot a threat” and permitted to resume work. The police report said the employee was scheduled to return to work today (Tuesday).
