Launch Party for Roseville Teen's Debut Novel Set for April 15

The official launch party for Roseville teen Vivian Olson's debut novel takes place on Sun., April 15 at the Barnes and Noble in Roseville.

The official launch party for Sigma’s Bookshelf’s seventh teen authored book takes place on Sun., April 15, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Barnes and Noble in Roseville, Minn.

13-year-old Vivian Olson of Roseville started work on Ela’s Diary when she was in 4th grade and finished it as a project for her 7th grade English class. After learning about Sigma’s Bookshelf, the first publishing company exclusively for teen authors, she decided to submit her manuscript, and it was accepted earlier this year.

Vivian attends Great River School and is in the 8th grade. When asked how it feels to now be a published author Vivian said, "It feels wonderful, but at the same time, not real. It has been my dream for a few years now to be an author. My friends used to joke around about me being a famous author because I wrote so much, but I never really thought that would be even remotely possible until I was an adult.”
