Lois Munson, of Roseville, dead at 88

Munson was a long-time member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held May 12.

Lois Lydia Munson, age 88, died May 8, 2012 at Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul. Lois was born to Otto & Erna Gastlerin Chaska, MN. She graduated from Chaska High School and began working for Raymer Hardware in St.Paul for many years. Lois married Ed Munson and lived in Roseville most of her life and was a long-time active member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. Lois is remembered by her family as a loving and caring woman who was dedicated to her family and church. She was β€œAuntie Lois” to many. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Peggy) Gastler of Duluth; nieces, Kris (Jones) Ajayi of Prior Lake, Kathi (Brian) Hoylo of Moorhead, Kari Gastler of Duluth; nephew, Dan Gastler of Boston, MA; and many nephews & nieces. A special thank you to Marilyn Burke for all her love and support. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12 at EMMAUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1074 W. Idaho Ave., St. Paul. Interment St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials preferredto Emmaus Lutheran Church.
