At its March 12 meeting, theΒ Roseville City Council took its first look at a new plan to establish a β€œperformance management program” that would combine multiple city initiativesβ€”including Imagine Roseville 2025, other strategic planning efforts and citizen surveysβ€”under an umbrella program.

City Finance Director Chris Miller said the new program would help coordinate multiple long-range initiatives into a β€œsequential order” that will help create a coherent vision for the future of Roseville.

β€œThe council in the last several years has undergone a number of new initiatives designed to improve our overall effectiveness or assure our long-term goals are being met,” Miller said. β€œWhat we’re asking the council to consider now is to formally establish a performance management program.”

Council member Tammy McGehee said she thinks the program as a whole is a good idea, though she would like to see some tweaks.

β€œWe have to have a front end part where we’re receiving into the circle information from our constituents as to what exactly they want,” she said.
