
The Roseville Parks and Recreation Department said the Rosefest golden medallion was found last night in Pioneer Park. Names of the winner have not been disclosed yet.
The medallion finder wins a basket of gift certificates to local area businesses.

The rules include some places where you do not need to go From golf course, Arboretum and the Oval, stay away
And at the nature center the medallion will not lay
Solution: You won’t find it at the golf course, Arboretum, Oval or nature center (I forgot to mention Central Park!)
Clue Two
If you were searching last year then you would already know
That Willow Pond’s the resting place we chose for hiding, so
The challenge for you this year you can meet so easily:
To find a Roseville park whose name does not contain a tree
Solution: You won’t find it at Willow Pond or any park with a tree in the name (Applewood, Mapleview, Evergreen, Tamarack, Autumn Grove, Res Woods, Woodhill)
Clue Three
To narrow down your searching while you play this annual game
You’ll want to set out quickly, hesitating is a shame
When you look for the medallion, it will be on the ground
Plus at the park where you must look, no pond or lake is found
Solution: It won’t be in a park with a water feature (this leaves Sandcastle, Rosebrook, Cottontail, Veterans, Howard Johnson, Memorial, Keller May- flowder, Lexington, Bruce Russell, Owasso Hills, Concordia, Materion, Acorn, or Pioneer)
Clue Four
We hope that you are having fun, you’ve prob’ly looked a lot
We trust you aren’t looking where the hiding place is not
If you need further guidance then it really is the least
That we can do, to tell you that it’s in Sector Southeast
Solution: It must be in Concordia, Materion, Lexington, Keller-Mayflower, Bruce Russel, or Pioneer.
Clue Five
If history does interest you we think you’d like to know
The park’s name is connected to the slogan “Westward ho!”
So keep on with your looking cause the time is close at hand
When you could hear your name announced between July 4th bands!
Solution: It’s in Pioneer Park
Clue Six
Three fine large oak trees on a hill, you’ll find one in a box
You should walk up a pathway that’s made out of flat, grey rocks
Walk over to the sunset side, it will reveal to you
That you have found the medallion, and won the prizes too!
Solution: When you enter the park, you’ll walk up a hill on the left with three huge oak trees on top, one of which has a wood planter built around it—the medallion is hidden on the western side of the boxed-in tree.
