Rosefest's Party Takes over Central Park

Roseville citizens invaded the park for the July 4th celebration.

Roseville citizens gathered in groups for the Party in the Park on Monday Families and adults alike brought blankets and picnics, enjoying the array of activities in the warm afternoon sun.

The Roseville Parks and Recreation hosted the party at Central Park as an all day event for the holiday.  Activities included were moonwalks and inflatable slides, carnival games, Spin Art, yard games and more.  There was also a large sampling of classic fair treats such as corn dogs, mini donuts, pizza and Hawaiian shaved ice.

Among the different activities was the very popular rock wall.  Children slowly lurked around the chained area, patiently waiting for the ride to open.  As soon as the operator waved his hand as a signal that he was ready, the children flocked around him, rushing to find a place in line.

“I love the rock wall, I’m going to make it all the way to the top,” eight-year-old Max Dukes said.

Dukes effortlessly skimmed to the top of the wall, ringing the bell as his victory.  He slowly descended to the ground, smiling over his success the whole way down.
