Roseville City Council Briefing From This Week's Meeting
Amended liquor license ordinance among the items.

Here is a round up of some items that came up at this week's Roseville City Council meeting. The Council:Β
- Discussed its relationship with the state legislature. The city's state Sen. John Marty and House representatives Mindy Greiling and Bev Scalze are scheduled to visit the Council's Dec. 5 meeting to hear its legislative concerns. Council members said they hoped to discuss transit and the local area sales tax with the lawmakers.
- Amended the cityβs liquor license ordinance to provide additional avenues of appeal for businesses should the council decide not to renew their liquor license. Previously businesses could request a hearing if their liquor license was revoked or suspended. Now businesses can use the same process of appeal should their license not be renewed.
- Authorized the county auditor to pursue unpaid false alarm, water, sewer, and other charges that are 90 days past due. Property owners are allowed a hearing to protest any βdelinquentβ charges.
