Roseville Council Adopts Clean-up Assistance Policy for Sewer Back-up

Here is a round-up of some items that came up at this week's Roseville Council meeting:

• The Council ordered a feasibility report and approved an agreement between Roseville and Shoreview for the County Road D Reconstruction Project.
• The council reviewed the activities of the Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission over the last year and discussed work for the upcoming year, including a capital improvement plan, a neighborhood traffic management plan and a greenstep cities presentation.
• The council authorized the city manager to negotiate an extension of the city’s contract with the legal firm of Erickson, Bell, Beckman & Quinn for civil and prosecution services.
• The council unanimously adopted a clean-up assistance policy regarding sanitary sewer backups. The program will cost about $35,000 a year. The city currently receives six to eight sanitary sewer backup claims per year.
