Roseville Council to Raise Some City Fees in 2012

Council action comes at Monday night meeting.

The Roseville City Council voted Monday evening to change the fees charged for 15 types of city services in 2013.

The council adopted all the proposed fee changes outlined in the attached document, with the exception of the DVD copying fee, which it decided to leave at $5, for now, for 2012.

Roseville Finance Director Chris Miller said the recommended fee increases were nominal and suggested to offset inflationary increases in the cost of services.

The changes ranged from a few cents to hundreds of dollars. Here’s a rundown of the most significant 2012 fee structure changes:

  • A $325 water main tapping fee will be added.
  • A $100 accessory dwelling permit will be added.
  • The leaf pickup fee will rise from $30 to $50.
  • The cost of residential park dedication will rise from $3,000 per unit to $3,500 per unit.
  • The demolition permit fee for commercial structures connected to city utilities will rise from $335 to $390.
  • The mechanical permit fee for residential homes with in-floor heating will rise from $56.50 to $78.
  • The residential shed permit fee will drop from $65 to $50.
