Roseville Falls To Mounds View In Section 4AAA Baseball Playoffs

The Roseville baseball team now teeters on the brink of elimination from the postseason after losing, 5-2 to Suburban East Conference rival Mounds View in the winner's bracket semifinals of the Section 4AAA Tournament at Midway Stadium in St. Paul on Thursday night.

This was the Raiders first playoff defeat and drops the squad into the one-loss grouping where they will face another conference rival, Stillwater, in a sectional elimination game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Midway.

If the Raiders defeat the Ponies,  the team will then advance to the one-loss final where it will face either Cretin-Derham Hall or Mounds View on Monday at 2:30 p.m. A loss on Saturday will end the Raiders season.
