Roseville School Board to Review Annual Curriculum, Student Achievement Report

Board agenda Tuesday night also includes district performance on math and reading tests, and progress on federal No Child Left Behind Act.

The Roseville District 623 School Board will vote tonight (Tuesday) on the district’s Annual Report on Curriculum, Instruction and Student Achievement, a comprehensive document that outlines the district’s successes and challenges in improving student achievement.

The document, mandated by state law for all school districts, is a report to the community on “continuous improvement policies and practices.”  It describes equity and achievement goals for the district and explains a variety of tests which measure achievement in such areas as math, reading, writing, language, and college readiness.

“It shows our learning family is making steady progress… in our academic journey, but also indicates there are additional miles to go before we reach our final destination,” said Superintendent John Thein in the introduction.
