Roseville Schools Gear Up For State Track

Roseville Area’s athletes prepped for state track

The Roseville Area boys and girls track and field teams will have individuals competing in the Class AA state meet on June 10-11 at Hamline University in St. Paul.

The event begins at 9 a.m. Friday with the preliminary round, then continues at 9 a.m. Saturday for the finals.

For the boys, the 4x400 meter and the 4x100 meter relays will be competing as well as  a few individuals. Emeche Wells will run in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, Justin Adams and DeAntre Smith will compete in the high jump and Martin Miller will participate in the triple jump.

On the girls side, Sophia Salmanpour will run the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles, Samantha Nielsen will compete in the 800 meter run and Ellie Wilson will run the 200 meter dash. Rebecca Dyson will compete in the 1600 meter run.

Roseville will also compete in the girls 4x200 meter, 4x400 meter and the 4x800 meter relays.

Concordia Academy sends 5 to state

The Concordia Academy boys and girls track and field teams will be well-represented at the Class A state meet on June 10-11 at Hamline University in St. Paul.

The meet begins at 3 p.m. Friday with the preliminary round, then resumes Saturday at 3 p.m. with the finals.

On the boys side, Steven Zeller will compete in the 1600 meter run.

For the girls, Roby Blount will run in the 100 meter hurdles as well as the 300 meter hurdles. Anna Porch will compete in the 1600 meter run, and Ellie Larson will participate in the girls pole vault event.
