Board session today will also focus on negotiations, referendums.

The evaluation of  District 623 Superintendent John Thein is among agenda items of a study session of the Roseville Area School Board at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday) at District Headquarters, 1251 County Road B2.

The board is also scheduled to begin preliminary discussions on negotiations with employee unions and referendums, according to the agenda posted on the District 623 Web site.

Members will spend the first hour of tonight’s meeting studying “Courageous Conversations about Race: A Field Guide for Achieving Equity in Schools,” a workbook focusing on how schools can better meet the needs of a diverse student population.  The book is edited by Glenn E. Singleton and Curtis W. Linton, authors of numerous books and manuals on effective school improvement.
