The Raiders face a talented field in the Section 4AA championships this weekend, which includes perennial power Stillwater. Roseville finished third in the section finals last season behind the Ponies and Centennial and those two teams have the most entries this year.

Roseville is hoping to have several athletes advance to state. The top two individuals and top relay teams in each event advance to state and any swimmer meeting the state qualifying time moves on as well. Roseville head coach Barbara Vailodash said that 98 percent of the Raider swimmers from the preliminaries advanced to Saturday finals (the top 16 advance) and several posted personal bests.
