Update: Roseville Tennis Duo Ends State Run

Carly Hayes and Jacqlyn Poss went 1-2 at the Class AA meet

The Roseville High School girls tennis team’s season officially came to an end Friday with the final doubles team bowing out of the Class AA state tournament.

Raiders senior Carly Hayes and junior Jacqlyn Poss finished the state tournament with a 1-2 record during the two-day event at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center.

Hayes and Poss were eliminated in the consolation semifinal round, where Lakeville South’s Shelby Henderson and Erika Williams won by a 6-1, 6-1 margin.

The duo opened up the state tournament with a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Visitation’s Meredith Lawrence and Morgan Morrison in the opening round. They then defeated Elk River’s Camille Kraljic and Catherine O’Connell 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 in the consolation quarterfinal round.
