Roseville's Matthew Finishes Day 1 At State Golf In Seventh
Matthew shot a 73 on the first day at Bunker Hills, three shots off the pace in the Class AAA meet

Roseville Area senior Sam Mathew finished up the first day of the Class AAA state boys golf tournament tied for seventh place overall.
Matthew is tied with three other golfers in seventh place after 18 holes at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. His first-round score of 73 is three shots off the pace. Forest Lake’s Max Kelly currently sits alone in fist with a round of 70.
In the team competition, Eden Prairie and Rogers each tied for first with 299 after the first day, while two-time defending champion Wayzata finished the day third at 301.
