The Ramsey County Sheriffβs Department issued the following update this afternoon on the Shoreview shooting:
βUpon arrival, deputies discovered there were four victims.Β One adult male and one adult female were deceased.Β
One adult male and one adult female were injured by gunshot wounds.Β Injured victims were transported to Regions Hospital.Β There were no children present.Β
The weapon, a handgun, was recovered on scene by the Sheriffβs Office.Β This incident remains under investigation by the Ramsey County Sheriffβs Office with the assistance of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Also responding to the scene were the Mounds View and Lino Lakes Police Departments, Lake Johanna Fire Department, Allina Medical, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
A nearby elementary school went into lock down, per safety protocols, and the lock down was cleared when it was determined to be safe with parents notified of the incident.Β Identification of the victims will be made by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
Additional information about the incident will be made available when the investigation is concluded. Β

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Department is reporting that two people are dead and two injured this morning in a shooting at a Shoreview residence.Β
In an initial news bulletin,Β the Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred minutes before 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) inside a residence in the 5900 block of Grotto Street inΒ Shoreview.Β
Responding to reports of shots fired,Β "upon approval, deputies discovered there were four victims," Β according to the Sheriff's Office. "Two victims were deceased and another two were injured and taken to Regions Hospital. There is no threat to the neighborhood at this time." Β
The Sherriffβs Office said it will issue aΒ ress release as more information becomes available.Β
The case is currently underΒ investigation by the Ramsey County Sheriffβs Office.
