Twins-Mad Roseville Couple Wins $20,000 Target Field Wedding Package

The couple, both age 22, will wed at Target Field on August 4.

A Roseville couple, Nicole Nettleton and Mike Willenbring, won a $20,000 wedding package Friday evening after entering a contest sponsored by the Minnesota Twins and JB Hudson Jewelers.

More than 5,000 people voted in the β€œWelcome Back to the Diamond Contest” and it was announced in the middle of the the 6th inning of Friday evening’s Twins Game that Nettleton and Willenbring had won the prize, which consists of an August 4 wedding ceremony at Target Field’s home plate, a complimentary reception and rings from JB Hudson.

Nettleton and Willenbring, both 22 years old, recently moved from Stillwater to Roseville and have purchased a home in the city. The couple met in middle school and immediately started talking about their mutual love of baseball.

β€œThe Twins are really what we bonded over when we met on the first day of seventh grade,” Nettleton told Kare 11. β€œIt’s really the Twins that brought us together.”

When they started dating in high school, Nettleton and Willenbring would watch Twins games together on TV and went on countless dates at Target Field. When the Twins were in the playoffs, Willenbring shaved the letters β€œTC” into his hair.

Nettleton is a business analyst at Target and Willenbring is a chef at the Stillwater restaurant Reve 324.
