2016 State Traffic Deaths Expected to Top Previous Year
As data is evaluated, the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety is projecting a final number of 412 state road fatalities in 2016.

The Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety reports a preliminary number of 397 traffic fatalities in the state in 2016. While the number of lives lost on Minnesota roads so far last year is below the 2015 final figure of 411, the agency says the final number is projected to go up as final crash data is evaluated.
OTS projects a final number of 412 road fatalities.
Authorities remind motorists to slow down, buckle-up, and drive sober.
