26-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed On I-94 In Saint Paul Overnight
A woman was hit by a vehicle in the westbound lanes near West 7th Street just after midnight Thursday, the State Patrol said.

SAINT PAUL, MN — A pedestrian was struck and killed on westbound Interstate 94 in Saint Paul early Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened around 12:20 a.m. Thursday in the center lane of westbound I-94 under West 7th Street, when a 2016 Lincoln MKX struck a pedestrian who was in the lanes of traffic, the State Patrol said. The road was dry at the time.
The driver, a 46-year-old woman from Saint Paul, was not injured and the vehicle's airbags did not deploy. The pedestrian, a 26-year-old woman from Saint Paul, died at the scene.

The State Patrol said it plans to release both women's identities on Aug. 9 at 8 a.m.
Saint Paul Fire and EMS and Saint Paul Police assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
