A St. Paul Restaurant Just Made The New York Times' Best List In America

ST. PAUL, MN — St. Paul's Khue's Kitchen has landed on the New York Times' annual list of the best restaurants in America.

Critic Brett Anderson praised chef Eric Pham's inventive Vietnamese menu, from a locally famous crispy chicken sandwich to a grilled sirloin that mixes steakhouse quality with Vietnamese takeout flavors.

The showstopper, according to the Times, is a meatless jicama rib dish that tastes like the real thing.

"Honestly, you can hardly tell there is no meat in there," Anderson notes.

"The dish is also among a majority of entrees priced at $21 or less. A budget-friendly restaurant that doesn't ask you to sacrifice anything? Yep. There are very good wines, too."
