Arson Suspect Arrested In St. Paul Mosque Fire

ST. PAUL, MN — A 42-year-old man was arrested in Wednesday's suspected arson at a mosque in St. Paul, police announced.
Said Ntamugabumwe, 42, was booked into the Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of first-degree arson in the fire at Oromo American Twhid Islamic Center.
The religious center — located at 430 Dale Street North — was empty when the fire began Wednesday morning, and no injuries were reported, fire investigators said.

Wednesday's incident marks the sixth mosque attack in Minnesota this year, according to the Star Tribune.
"We're on edge, and we need the public's help once the suspect is defined to help capture this individual," Jaylani Hussein, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Minnesota chapter, told the newspaper.
