ATM Skimmers In Twin Cities Stole Thousands: Police

Do you recognize these people? The Ramsey County Sherrif's Office suspects them of placing a skimming device on a Twin Cities ATM.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help find suspects they believe placed a skimming device on a credit union ATM in Shoreview last month. Other law enforcement agencies in the metro area are trying to identify the suspects, as well. Investigators believe the skimming operation may be tied to incidents in Dakota County, Wisconsin and Texas.

Sheriff spokesman Sgt. John Eastham told KARE 11 the suspects attached the skimming device to an ATM near City County Credit Union and recorded customer pin numbers and account information. The device allowed the suspects to steal tens of thousands of dollars last month, according to investigators.
